Born and raised in Southern California, Jorge fell in love with the culture of surf, skate, street and fishing. When his innate skill for fishing took over as his main hobby, he saw a trout scene fit within the SoCal fishing community. In 2017, he created and launched SoCal Trout Cartel as a YouTube fishing channel and merch line as the first step of the journey. In 2019, SCTC expanded to a retail store front located in Ontario, CA and has since become a staple to locals and trout fishing anglers within the SoCal region and beyond. With undeniable growth in March of '25, Jorge made the brave decision to leave his full time career to pursue his passion for SoCal trout fishing.
